Power Outage

So any interesting thing happened today...

Shortly after the eleventh hour, our whole company's power shut down. Wiped out. Apparently the construction that is going on on the corner, cut into the lead wire, so we had to go to our back-up system. Unfortunately when we switched over, the battery was dead.

So... those who didn't have their computers on had to immediately go to lunch, while the few people who still had their computers on (me) had to stay and keep working. What we thought would be an easy fix, became four hours later with still no power. This, I'm sure, did not make our owner happy.

Too make a long story short, I got to leave early today because the second shift needed a computer and I had one that worked.
